Hey team.
I am in the middle of making some sliders at the moment. i have desigened them myself utilising the good points of both of the diffferent methods and had them approved by a certifier.
they mount using two enginge mounts. each side has a triangle shaped piece of 10mm ali, the bottom two corners mount on the engine mounts and the top corner has an 20mm ali rod joining the two triangles. the crash bung is mounted on the ali plate.
This way if I have a bit of a banger and mash the forces hitting the crash bung will be soaked up by the engine mounts and the other ali plate.
havent tested the theory but it was the best way I could think of.
I'll put up a pic when I have them finnished.
Still don't really have much plans for testing them though...

Sliders
I bought some gsg-moko ones, there designed to spin when the bike hits the ground so spreading the force of the impact, don't know whether they actually work coz not had to try them yet but they do look the dogs, but they are expensive. They are the bracket fitting type so no fairing drilling is necessary. There is a picture of them in the picture section on the home page of this site.
Try http://www.performancemotorcycleparts.com
or you can even look on there own site (if you can understand german) its
http://www.moko-gsg.de/ well worth a look just for all the trick stuff they do.
Cheers
Shaun
