sorry i cant help on this one but i have teh HISS thingy as well and i hear the words red key black key....
whats the deal with that then?
red as in the keyfob is red? cause i only got 2 black keys...with mine.. i think not looked fully in my goody bag when i bought the bike.
as far as im aware, like other bikes with similar systems, u need the red master key..this was listed as a problem with the mk2 storm..cos they are easy to break and expensive
The manual only states two keys and says nothing of them being different colours. It only says if all keys are lost then you will need a new ignition module. So as it sounds I would say that you will be able to program a new key (up to four) as long as you have one original key. Just remember that you will need to take all the keys you have with you when you get a new one coded otherwise they will probably not start the bike.
Dealer says, they will source 2 keys @ £20 + Vat each, get them cut and then take them with the bike and original key to the delaer and they will code them.
Mate works for the dealer and is doing it gratis for me, normally it is £40 plus VAT
aye ..i knew it wasnt cheap...but if you lose all keys...it costs £800 to have a new ignition/keys/hiss unit etc..glad youve got it sorted on the cheap..
