Hi dont want to sound obvious but i had a similar fault on my Ducati it was just the drain screw that had worked its self loose or possibly a sticking float making it overflow

Hi mate,
Can you see where the leak is coming from? supply pipe, float bowl gasket etc?
If not then tank and air box removal are straight forward enough - just mark which pipes you remove from where. Draw a little pic of tank underside if it helps and number end of pipes with a biro or tipex pen.
This will give you better access to see carb and wipe off fuel to see if you can work out where it's coming from without disturbing them.
Avoid carb removal if you can, only to save probably having to balance them if you do.
Check all pipes on the carb including drain pipes to make sure they're all a snug fit.
Possibly float is sticking so carb is over filling.
Has anything been changed or done to bike / carbs recently that may have dislodged anything?

Thanks for the advise guys
Have tank & airbox off, wiped any fuel away, then saw petrol was weeping threw float bowl gasket
Ok confession, have removed both carbs while still joined together (didnt want to take split carbs, throt cabe & sensor etc). Removed bowl and rubber gasket has been pinched, from new by the looks of it. Now just have to wait till Tues/Wednesday for part, if im lucky apparently
Will let you know how it goes later this week
