No, I'm not from t'up north, but the title makes a change from the usual hi, I'm new.

Anyway, I'm on the insurance of my dad's Firestorm now, I used to have my own road bike, but ditched it for a strictly track only bike.

Then decided I missed road riding too much and my dad doesn't use the bike that much anyway, so being a splendid chap he's letting me go on his insurance.

O, and the answer to the question I know you all want to know, it's a yellow one.

It has ART race cans on it as well, they are stupidly loud, but they have the BS rivet bands from fleabay so they are road legal officer.

This is my race bike:

And this is the Firestorm.

you know why your dad got managed to get you on his insurance?
its a yellow storm.... the yellow model is one of the slowest and puts it several insurance brackets lower..
infact the insurance company probably gave your dad money to get you on it...:D

The race bike is a hornet 6, it is hilarious stuffing proper sportsbikes on trackdays.

I'm hoping to enter the Hornet Cup in 2009.

Hiya matey,

Welcome to the forum, hope you thoroughly enjoy your time here.

Like the Hornet and the Colour of it :!:

Storm looks to be in good nick, could do with a respray though 8O

As an aside but still on the topic of Hornets ......

Keep an eye out for Ivan Lintin this year on the road racing circuit. Only 2 or 3 seasons ago he was racing Hornets in New Era. After 'changing codes' spent last season kicking serious butt in Ireland on the Road Racing scene.
He drove Guy Martin back home from the NW200 last weekend after guy's off! Failed jubilee clip !!!!!
He'll be entering Manx GP this year and is aiming for the top! I reckon he's got a good chance.

Look forward to reading your posts.

Graeme
