steering bearings

Post by solorider »

i did my steering bearings yesterday as they were a bit notchy in the centre position, the reason was not wear as they were replaced 2 years ago with genuine bearings, the reason was the bearings were done up to tight and they were fitted by a honda dealer!the correct torque is 25 nm which is not very tight, fitted some taper roller bearings and i now have very smooth turning steering,a bit better than before! all ive got to do is get the bike mot,d tommorrow so keeping my fingers crossed

Glad too hear all went well with the mot Solo :!: :D

Perhaps a flat bar conversion may be an idea :D
