Hi all
Had a great time over in Germany, too much stuff to mention but some highlights:
The Kyffhauser road - 36 bends in about 2 miles, laid out like a racetrack, truly incredible http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9U5lf1bU ... re=related
Visiting the Mohnsee and Edersee dams, two of the dams our lads reconstructed during WWII. Also some cracking roads around that area.
Leading two of my mates around a very slippery Nurburgring in the wet, when I've not rode there myself for 7 years unless you count the Xbox. A clencher moment if ever there was one but I enjoyed it. Parts of the track are even steeper than I remember.
3 days of riding fantastic Harz Mountain roads with great company.
Seeing a wild boar up in the hills near St Andreasburg. Jumped off the bike, grabbed camera, and grabbed gerber multitool in case the boar came after me instead. Boar too quick to catch on camera. Here piggy piggy...
What else....Beer....cake....odd German delicacies...offending the locals when refusing to eat said german delicacies...
Crossing Holland in under 15 minutes was also a plus-point
Some piccies here

Super bit of road [note to self - enter it in Zumo satnav for later]
Cracking scenery too almost expected Steve McQueen riding across a couple of the meadows.
Nice to see our lads left a few bits of architecture standing then.
Love the KTM / VTR hybrid & of course the Red VTR disguised as an extinguisher.
I really must make an effort to get over there for some Wurst - Brat, Bier or anything - Love German Sausage
(But I wouldn't bend over for one

Yeah that expensive porsche, who gouged half of the very expensive looking carbon fibre front splitter on the entrance to the fuel station forecourt, and didn't seem to bat an eyelid...!!
There's some serious money knocking about at the Ring, I'd say almost half the carpark consisted of Porsches. Plenty of GT3 RS's too, and they don't exactly come cheap!

Yeh but if you could buy one you would definately have to do track days, otherwise you should not have bought the GT3. I see myself as a sensitive intelligent man but with the heart of a clown that causes me to **ck things up right at that crucial moment........'Jim Morrison'
