XR400
XR400
Anyone into enduro or grenn laning? Anyone got any first hand experience of a Honda XR400? I want one and am trying to get as much info as possible. So far I have heard they will do the biz with good suspension travel and the engine is bulletproof.

Pretty much spot on there mate.
Very very reliable (a mate of mine dropped his on a river crossing, the engine took in water but it was running again within an hour). Not loads of power, but servicing is simple and not too frequent. Basically an old-school air-cooled donk which will run and run with minimum fuss.
As a green-laning tool I'd say they're pretty much ideal, they are pretty light and compact, good chassis and plenty of grunt when you need it. I've done a fair few miles on them as I used to swap bikes with a mate when I had an XR650 and I preferred his 400 off-road.
