Hi! Anybody heading to goodwood festival of speed this year? I'm taking my son on the storm for the saturday, and would appreciate any hints and tips for a better day out...

I should be going - have been a few times before.

Positioning trackside is everything and depends on your height, so I guess your son may not be too tall?

If you can afford it, get a grandstand seat, get to the event early as there is lots to see (we just about cover it all in 3 days!)

Take your own food and drink maybe, and a digital camera as you will be snapping loads and loads!

Nice tips.. only going saturday unfortunately, due to the evils of work, but own food and drink a very good idea i'm 6ft3 so i can always relay the action to him or get him a box
