Ive got an abba stand. Its very useful and robust. Ive got it on it atm, bike stripped down to just the swing-arm left, which i can lift or drop.

Once the bikes up on the stand, its extremely secure. Can't vouch for the Ultipro one, if anything it looks slightly flimsy compared.

I have the Ultimoto (deluxe version of the Ultipro) with the jacking facility that allows the whole bike to be lifted clear of the ground. There are four castor wheels so bike can be pushed/pulled around a garage in all directions. Great to store over winter too as bike goes into a corner easily with no loads on the tyres so no flat spots.
Well made and balanced so............... your choice!

Can't comment on either as I've never used them, but the Ultipro looks pretty good to me.

I use 'standard' type rear paddock stand that cradles the swinging arm and a headstock front stand, as I don't trust the ones that the fork legs sit on as far as I could throw mine!

If I need to remove swinging arm then I support below engine with large wood blocks (sawn down scaffold plank).

Just as a matter of interest did a search for Ultimoto LSM, came up with zilch.

Query spelling?

I'd be interested to see one in the flesh so to speak.

See

I believe they have stopped making this one now as it is/was very expensive.
Use the same 'sharpened pins' to fit onto the swing arm pivot point etc as the Ultipro but that one has less features.

Hi,

Link goes to an NWS directory listing I thought they'd stopped trading but maybe wrong.

This link is to their 'new' site ? and lists the 'ulti-moto' & yes LSM - they are 'expensive'

http://www.n-w-s.com/honda/firestorm.html

BTW - if they are still trading, you could do a lot worse than buy one of their grabrails for the Firestorm.

IMO they look 100% better than dodgy looking Rentec ones. These when fitted, actually look like they were meant to be there - even 'enhance' the look of a 2-up Storm.

They come up on e-bay once a flood too.

Reason I thought they might have stopped trading is that I tried to get a replacement grab rail a few years ago after ruining my last one when I parked the Storm upside down. Although I found their website, the links to ordering etc were 'dead' and the 'last updated' date was pretty old.

I was lucky enough a few months ago to pick up an NWS rail without fitments from e-bay, luckily I'd kept fitting kit from my old one.

Ive seen the abba in use, easy to use, but the ultipro , does it come in a couple of pieces? if so is it a weak point?

I've had an Ulti-Pro stand for the last 3 years now and can thorughly recommend it. I also have the NWS grab rail which looks great on the bike.
