i did order some ohlins springs from demon tweeks but after 3 weeks of them not turning up i cancelled them.and they where £90 on there own!

so is that all roger does to them then??? springs set up with oil for your weight??
i thought he did other stuff to them???and was lead to believe springs and oil was only half the job????

Patty.
He does revalve them I believe, but anyway what the h*ll does it matter what he does? If the bike feels great and you feel it is wortth the outlay (and I'm willing to bet you do) then it doesn't really matter if he just cleaned 'em with an oily rag (which he wouldn't have done by the way).

If you're happy then that's the important thing whatever anyone else says!!!!!!!! :D

You get a race-tech valve kit put in . sprung to your specs wether it's pure track days or a bit of track and road. or just pure road.. all properly set up static sag ..best compression, preload, and rebound settings.

got a info sheet of roger as to what he did for me:

Fork spec.

Springs = changed to Linear type from Progressive + rate change to 0.9 kg/mm + change in spring length to 320mm
Compression Valve = Standard + change of shim structure
Rebound = Change of taper dimensions and shape on damper rod
Cartridge = Modification to damper cartridge to alter oil transfer speed
Spacer = alter length to match spring change
Oil = change to SAE 7.5wt
Airgap = change to 130mm

Please keep the last two highlighted changes incase you need to service the forks or change an oil seal locally.
so im happy, i know i wouldnt have been able to do that!!!

My two pence worth :!:

Patty,

IMO anyone with a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge can change the components in a pair of motorcycle forks, but what you don't have is anywhere near the amount of experience in how the up-rated parts need to be fitted to get the best from them as Roger has. I even have a feeling Roger has the springs he fits specially made for the Firestorm as the ones you buy from Race Tech are longer :!: So what I'm getting at is you're not only paying for the work he did to your forks and the parts supplied, but a small amount is for his knowledge, which is IMO priceless :!:
