Grrrr

Post by Dazjm »

:(

Spent the last week, stripping, scraping, scouring, de-greasing, and polishing.

Finally got the bike fired up today, ran it for 5 mins, shut it off. Couple mins later, i glances at my bike cover, "fck sake, ive gone and snagged it on something and put a hole in it" No i fckin hadnt.... It had blown up against the front header, and welded it self to the pipe.....

So im now left with melted plastic, which i swear, is tougher than kevlar.

Any ideas of getting this sh1t off easily? :?

Probably going to have to use a metal spatula then rub down with grades of wet and dry all the way to shiny again, but try autosol first though, leave on for a while before using an old worn pan scourer (not the metal variety though) to get rid.

Try paint stripper - that should work but if not acetone (nail varnish remover) will. Don't get either on any of your plastics...
