Puig crash bungs - help

Post by Simon 2 »

I wish i could do this anonymously as I feel a bit of a tw*t but as I can't here goes.

Have purchased some Puig crash bungs and having looked at the bike since, cannot for the life of me figure out where they bloody well go! Appreciate that I am obvioulsy being very thick but has anybody fitted these previously. Photo's would be good together with any info about whether I need to be cutting bodywork or not

Be gentle with the initial comments about how stupid i am etc. etc please.

Many thanks

i know that different bungs are ment to go in different places,
the ones im ordering you have to drill a hole in the fairing and then they mount where one of the main engine mounting point is.

surely the bungs you got had some fitting instructions?
or have you bought them second hand..

I bought some Puig ones to fit to my Fazer when I had it. Never did though.

Be careful...dont know about the ones for the Storm, but the Fazer items were crap. The finish was very poor, mounting points were not ideal & the bungs were not long enough to protect the vitals in a spill 8O which, I suppose, is the whole point!

Hope yours are a better fit and finish
