I haven't even ridden it yet - my mate brought it back (insurance) and i've spent the best part of a week's evenings stripping it. It's currently a chassis with an engine on stands in the shed - the bloke seemed to think I was joking when I said i'd do this (but there again, he did say 'whats a cam chain tensioner...?)
Christ has it been neglected.
At some point in it's life someone has taken EVERY transfer off - 'VTR', 'V2', 'HONDA', the lot. There were no gaskets in the exhaust so it sounded like a tractor, it was blinged (should that be blung?) with a yellow hugger and undertray, the bellypan, clutch master cylinder cover, front and rear brake master cylinder covers, steering stem bung and swing arm end caps had been sprayed yellow, it hasn't been washed in three years and has been used through at least two winters. Every single fastener is red rust.
Still, what do you expect for a bag of sand? It'll be mint when it emerges from the cocoon (just in time for the first salt-spraying of 2008, no doubt!)
Is anyone here going to own up to this travesty? Grrrrrrr........

When I can suss out how to post pics, I will.....[/img]
