More Bling

Post by alan »

im not one for adding bling to there bikes but  i got the chance to get some carbon covers and a gfk belly pan painted by FSMike cheers m8

the belly pan just needs some slight adjustment and a bracket making

and since i cannot ride yet might aswell tart the old girl up abit, she's in need of a wash n polish as its been left for months.

i think the covers look smart and the gfk stuff does fit well despite people slating there gear off.

Yes, Halfords custom mixed stuff, £10.99 for a can. Not a bad match either, looks better in the flesh than the photos.
Cheers Mike for the info :!: :D

I have used their paint before in the Firestorm red and thought it was fairly good (as you say not a bad match), but that was only in brush form, not a spray can :!:

What colour primer did you use :?: Also am I right in thinking they don't come with brackets, you have to make your own :?:

If you want a real deep protected shine, paint as usual leave to dry.

Now rub whole panel down with ulta fine scotch bright, wipe surface and spray panel again with clear laquer.
Dont worry about the scratchs that the scotch bright leaves, the laquer will cover over them and wont show through .

Will give yhs a wicked finish

Cheers for the tip Pariah :D

Is there a lacquer available in a spray can you would recommend :?:
FirestormMike wrote:I used red plastic primer. Yes you will need to manufacture some brackets for GFK stuff, dead easy though from 3mm ally.
Cheers Mike :D
