Rain: Gauges doing strange things!

Storm got wet today and for a minute I thought I owned a Duke! Neutral light stayed on, clock and odometer reset themselves and basically ran like poo!

Is this a common problem? Any ideas how to stop it?

My brother's CBR600 did exactly the same thing, perhaps it's a Honda thing?

Any help will be appreciated. Cheers.

It's still under warrnty maybe I should get someone to have a look at it? Seems strange it happened to both bikes on the same day!
