stranded
Hi All, well the saga continues, the starter is okay and will start the bike but the bolt that the cable connects to is looking pretty shagged. does anyone know if this is a part I can order? From the very useful OEM website link posted earlier its not a part thats listed. I'd rather get the proper part in there rather than try to jury rig something.

Eyup,
Thinks what you need is
TERMINAL SET, BRUSH (Honda Code 2826824)

Hopefully that's for more than just the brushes, and includes the 'bolt'
Ring Dave Silvers up and check what 2826824 includes.

Theres always fleabay, had a few off there, and they have all been ok.Price ranging from a fiver to twenty quid. You can always butcher them at that price, and take what you need out of them.Seem to remember the only part you can order is the bolt assembly,so you might be ok.Failing that you should be able to use an M6 bolt, just make sure the bolt is insulated from the body,by using correct washers etc.Good luck.
Will be when then insulating washers I ordered finally arrive. Separate long story. In the meantime I finally connected up today the starter motor I got from ebay (not 10p but still cheap). This one looks like its just had the cable welded onto the bolt!!!!!
Still it will suffice for now. I am most looking forward to thrashing the nuts off of it on the way home for the first time in three weeks. I notice its rained this afternoon.
Thanks again for everyone's advice.
