Website down or not ??

Rightey

.....when i open VTR1000.ORG from my favourites, the home page is displayed,but when i try to open the "vtr discussion board" so i can log on,what i get is a blank white screen with the word "updating" on the top L/H/Side of the screen.
Ive had this happen a few times,so thought the 'site was down,and clicked away

Just found out tonight the only way i could log on was to go to "favourites",where i had saved the "Cush Drive Ice cream tub packing tip",which i done at the weekend (top tip by the way

)and logged on from there .
Can anyone explain(in simple terms

) whats happenin here

Cheers,,,,i take it "bookmark" means adding to favourites

,,if so,i have done it.
It's happened a lot,and when i couldn't log on,or even get on to the discussion board i've clicked away muttering nasties
