Most of what I know shows that faffing around getting a different arm to fit is a ball ache.
Best is to get a brace fitted to the stock one.
Harris, Spondon, Holeshot - any of the race companies should be able to do a proper job on it and occasionally braced and polished VTR swingers crop up on ebay.
If you know a good welder could even get it done for the price of a packet of fags too.

But TBH I reckon moly will do you a pretty good job and no postage or messing around. Got a mate who also builds sidecars who could help you with that too. Not as much of a superstar so prob not as expensive!

that was my beauty on ebay,
nev from f1 moto made it,and modded a r1 top brace on it.
i had it powder coated black at work last month.
only sold it last fri for £150!!!!!
