It looks like on my own here :!:

I thought it a shame that Stoner binned it :!: I feel we would have had a much more exciting race if Stoner had stayed on, as we all know Rossi definitely wanted a win on his home track, even though for the championship a 2nd spot would have been fine.

IMHO in one sense he was given the win, what with the tyre issues that's going on, there was no one else who could have challenged him :!:

I'll take cover now for the fall-out

I dont agree. If someone had been good enough in F1 to intimidate Schuey into making a massive error it would still be great to watch. Stoner is a brilliant rider, he can tame the Ducati 8O but in order to make 2.5 seconds on Rossi he rides the tyres off the rims and eventually puts such a lean angle that he ends up sliding down the track. One race this season he will make it stick and keep his cool. If I were his team boss I would be saying stay behind Vale do not show him where you are quick then go for a flying lap near the end. Good to see Lorenzo getting back to form . He is going to cause problems for all other top riders now.
Just my opinion. 8)

Actually, credit to Casey. He knows Vale is on it and will win unless he hangs everything out and goes for it. Crashes have been a result of him pushing so hard. He knows that was the only way to win it, so went for it. Didn't work out, but gotta respect that.
