Firestorm pilot light

Post by mwad »

I have an uprated Xenon headlight bulb in my bike and it makes the feeble pilot light seem very dim and very yellow.

Has anyone bought / installed an LED bulb to make the light brighter ?

Try maplin electronics, go for a ultra bright 12v led / bulb (wide angle). Ignore the 12v bit as it might be less, don't know.

I use one for, as Honda call it, the position light supplied by these people.

Much brighter than std.

I was grateful for mine last week. Riding about a 200km trip home & as the sun went down, I realised my headlight wasn't working. I still had close to 100km to go, so the "pilot" light was the only chance I had for others to see me.
