Can I run a 170/60 17 on the rear?

Post by Ratty »

I realise most of the people on this site ride a lot harder than I do so handing is more of an issue but I'm really quite chilled.

Whilst acceleration gives me a huge buzz, high speeds and/or fast cornering does nowt for me so I never push my tyres to the limit.

So can I fit a 170/60 17 as they are way cheaper than 180's

(btw, not been around much lately, just too damn busy working. Will have the VTR finished soon so more pics coming :) )

I wouldn't have thought it a good idea personally considering the wheel is built to take a 180 section tyre :!:
