I love the look of the XJR in SP trim Blue with white stripes. Never ridden one though.

I like the Yammy xjr 1300 ,but a neighbour 2 doors up has one, and the finish, especially on the alluminium parts is not that great, i think it's only 4 years old.
Same with the Guzzi, work mates got a Breva 750 (03 i think),from what i remember the footrest hanger is a huge ally bracket painted grey, and reaches from rear peg to past front peg.
Paint was all flaking off ,also engine finish wasnt that great.

I do like the Griso ,chap close to me has one, bloody sexy :!: (the bike) :!:

Try a Hayabusa if you get the chance Mike for two-up :!:

The GSX 14 looks real good, nice in the red/black colour scheme as well :!:

My wee mates got a fazer1000(old shape),got it new then spent a sh1t load on it, R1 forks etc ,lots of polishing ,expensive indicators, the lot.

Its fast and it handles ,surely even a standard fazer thou would do everything (and more) that a gsx14, xjr13, kawa12 would do :?:
Mind you,i suppose the Fazer thou isnt really a "retro" bike.

I think most of us would prefer more than one bike, funds permitting. some nice looking bikes featured above, but I wouldn't part with me SP for anything else - and me old storm will only go when I can persuade the missus to let me buy a newer storm (unless there's a Guzzi or Laverda is going cheap at the time :P )

I cant walk past an Africa Twin or a ZZR1100. Dont know why, just love em.

Urban Tiger Blade is awesome. I would swap the VTR for one tomorrow.

Dont like classic brits. Too unreliable, small, slow for me. I believe the beardy owners call that character.
I hate Indian Givers! No..wait I take that back.

There was a BSA something or other at Squires on Wednesday. Conked out as soon as he came in the gates. Took the guy half and hour to get it going again. That one did have an oil leak.

There was a certain young man called lee there aswell on a very shiny harley. :D

My Classic Brit is a 2003 Royal Enfield Army.
I absolutely love it.
Had an oil weep but traced it to three screws holding the primary chain case inner. Once nipped up, all was fine.
Good for easy maintainance.
Don't buy one if you are a shy, retiring non talkative type.
I park mine amongst all the latest plastic fantastics and a few older ones like VTR's etc. Does anyone want to know about them?
Nope. They become invisible/just another bike.
Amazing how many young and old want to know things about "Harry".

Beamish. I wish!!! I'd love to play like Jimmy Page ha ha
I only have four bikes (OK, 5 if I put one of 'em back together + the Caterham 7). A man's gotta have some toys. 8O

BP.
Pedestrian Slicer is correct for the bike registration so we'll say no more about legality and white-letters-and-numbers-on-the-rear-black plate.
I bought that particular reg off of eBay to lose the '03 number plate and just loved the UXB (as in UneXploded Bomb on an army bike !!!).
Green wheels and headlight rims etc are earlier Indian ones or self done or possibly a late version too.
Sounds confusing? Well Watsonian Squires (yes, of sidecar fame) are the importers. They ordered loads of Military ones as they thought they were originally supplied to the Indian Army. They had the chrome rims etc etc. It was only after a few years they realised they'd got it wrong and that India ones have all green ones rims, headlights and the like!!!
I picked mine up at 4 years old with a genuine 347 miles on the clock.
Just great fun and I've done over a thousand miles this year on Harry.
