Have always fancied a 916, but reading up on them these 748's are much underated and are a better track day bike so they said due to the revability (!) of 'em. They'll rev to the 'redline' of 11,000 rpm but can be pushed through to 13,000 if only occasionally!!!! Starts to stress the desmodromic valve gear a bit if regularly hammered to those heady rev heights.

Not as rattly as some 'cos the fully enclosed clutch cover stops most of the noise (but certainly not all).
These 'L' twins look great IMHO. Iconic shape. Thought it was going to cripple my wrists/arms but only about as 'bad' as the VTR for me.
That means Snipper and I have them. Anyone else?
