Hi, Zixxer.
Didn't want you to think we're ignoring you!

But no, I haven't heard or read nayhting about ignition mods. although a backplate for the ignition trigger which had a small worm drive with a cable leading out of the cases would allow an experiment or two....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I remember back in the eighties Dyna coils were all the rage then, but I've not heard anyone fitting them on a bike of today myself.

I believe one or two have fitted an ignition advancer to their Storms, but not sure if it makes much difference. Hopefully someone who has fitted one will see this and tell you more :!:

thanks lads, its just i'm having minor electrical woes with el stormo and i would have liked to upgrade the coils if there was an alternative aftermarket kit or something. I know of Taylor Leads, but the plugcaps on those don't keep the plugwells nice and clean and dry like the oem ones.

Does anyone know where i could get a new set of plugcaps? david silvers has none on his site and ebay provided nothing either.

thanks again.

About the only people I can think off of the top of my head would be these people http://www.magnecor.co.uk/default.htm I've never used them myself, but a lot of the serious car tuners use them (not the tw@s that put plastic and filler all over their cars) :)

You can get the caps on their own but at £20 +vat from Dave silvers

Just use the search by part numbers tab on the left hand side then use the part number 30700MBB640 for the cap

P.s I have an ignition advancer on my bike got it cheap at a £10 not a big enough improvement to warrant £50 for a new one, cleans up mid range acceleration a bit
