30mins of heaven

Post by Beamish »

Finally got the bike back together, hagon front end rebuild and swing arm /sus linkages strip and regrease. Also swapped the ridiculous double bubble for an original screen (IMO looks a million times better)plus a bit of plastic welding and painting.
Sun was out this morning so gave it a good blast. God I love motorbikes  Need to drop the rear spring a notch though as the front end seemed extremely light on acceleration. On smooth roads the stiff rear felt fantastic but over the bumpy stuff on the power it tended to unsettle the front far too easy. I had forgotten how fast bikes were 8)

I rode mine today for the first time since june. New Mot, no probs and fitted new chain and sprockets. Did wonder why it didn't go around corners like it used to, then I checked the tyre pressures.......oops.

Was good to be back on the storm. Roads were empty too. Bliss on a friday afternoon........

It's a privilege only few appreciate...

I was hoping to go for a [short] blast tomorrow - forcast is cold but fine. However I just seen the gritter truck go past my house so with all the damn salt on the road I won't bother.

You'll be hard pressed to beat that feeling Beamish :!: The strange thing is when you ride everyday all year around you don't experience that exact feeling for some reason :!: :D

the bloody gritting lorrys have all been out for about 2-3 weeks down here!!!!!

so the rsv is now declared sorn!!!!!not going through what i went through with the firestorm last yr.

i cant remember even going out on it, when i saw salt on the rds,but it was there, and buggered the storm in no time.
so make sure all you all weather storm boys wash after every ride,
i know its a pain, but trust me its worth it.
i had at least £1500 of goodies bought for mine last yr,and boy did i wish id washed the bike down after every ride.

but dont worry i will still be rideing ...infact its another honda!!!!

what i hear you all saying .................

a 98(s reg) c90 ,bring it on winter,
im armed and ready
pat.
yellow all the way...
who needs 4 cylinders when 2 are this good!!

storm no more...rsv power now.

Rode my RD from Wakefield to Otley in a snow storm. Its not a long ride but it is on a 60cc Came off 5 times in 3 inch of snow , feet trailing all the way    I laugh now but I couldnt feel my hands for about and hour and when I eventually did I realised I had burnt one of them on the micron exhaust trying to warm up mid ride 8O

brings back memories.
was about 16 yrs ago, xmas time ,me and my exgirlfriend,
1 x suzuki gs125,1 x top box fully loaded, girlfriend with a ruck sack on (fully loaded).
and a snow battle all the way to gloucester from andover.
we were loaded up so much and with all the cold and snow it took bloody ages.lol at least 3.5 hrs- never again!!!!!

i still ride up to george whites in swindon quite alot and often laugh to myself whilst passing all the parking places i stopped the little gs in ,just to get some felling back into my hands.
