They're all as bad as one another IMHO. Thisnk 'our' mods on this site are as good a fix as you'll get anywhere!!!!!!!

When I was reading up on manual tensioners a few years ago, the Kawasaki mob were having problems way beyond that which afflicts the firestorm. It was reading their experiences with APE's that made me fit them. I've done about 25,000 miles since and have had no problems.

I thought I recognised those pic's Chris (LSM) :lol:

That type of mod (Tony Wilde's idea) is different than the ones Timbo is showing that VTRBob made. VTRBob's have a 6mm bolt but he then (drilled and tapped) fitted a 4mm bolted down through the center of it with lock nuts :!:
