Must admit when I met up with a few Stormers (and ex Bob and Filo
) I thought Squires was a bit shitty. There are not many places near me to have a ride to with Willingham Woods been the exception.

Nay Jim, that's a slur on Filo (Clint Eastwood)! He was the one who fecked with the 'Black Widows' - so which one of them is you know who? Cholla?

Haven't been to Squires for about a year. The food is of questionable standard but too pricey IMO. The coffee is cheap crap but you pay a premium price for it. The only thing worth drinking apart from cans of pop is the Chocolate or Tea, both of which are also over priced. You can get a pint pot of tea though, if your bladder can stand it.
The hygene with regard to tea, coffee etc is also questionable, cups with tea spoons in, full of slop which was earlier water! They'd do far better having disposable spoons and a bin nearby.
As Mike has said, the toilets stink - well the mens, and the nearest one to the main area is much too small for the numbers of people they get in there.
As some where to meet before or to end up after a run it's OK, but I ride my bike to enjoy riding it, not to sit for hours and hours and hours and hours, next to my bike, watching lots of other bikes come and go.
With the money they rake in weekly (admittedly more Spring to Autumn), the quality and price of the drinks & food could and should be far better. The hygene should be exemplary!
As with a lot of places (not just biker meets) they employ kids and no doubt pay them a pittance, so why should they care?
Won't stop me going there, just won't be very often.
The original was much better, but had become much too big an 'event'
Not been to the ones Mike mentioned - maybe next Summer if we get one.
I would rather go to the Sun Inn at Norwood nr Harrogate - the food is excellent, the drinks also and the toilets are clean.
I also like Big D's but the parking is somewhat limited
Just my opinion.

Totally agree with Graeme about The Sun Inn, great place to ride to and a great place for a drink/bite to eat. Lets go there again soon eh!

Ive been up twice in the last 12 months I think.
Agree with everyone. Its really poop.
The place is run down, prices are "Richard Turpin'esc" and the atmosphere feels flat.
Its a shame really because it's quite a good sized venue and with some money spent/different managment it could be improved lots.
I dont think the accidents around the place (not that its the cafe's fault...) have helped its reputation with some riders either.
Just my opinion.
