that sounds 'do-able', I'll get the wife to book 1/2 day off Fri so she can take over looking after my little boy and pick my daughter up from school, if I get the bike loaded and fuelled up in the AM I'll be able to set off from here as soon as she gets home so I should be in Warrington around 2pm, how does that sound?

i'll be heading from warrington, toward oulton park, down the a49 toward hereford way, rather than my usual route through machynlleth, just for a change.

a49 is a cracking road and leads straight onto the a44 then some good winding roads up to the site.
let us know a bit sooner what time you're planning on setting off & we'll tie up on the way

hoping kev will let me drop my gear off at his so i'm not lugging loads of crap on the bike... spoils an otherwise superb ride.

is it just you are will there be a group?

If everything goes to plan I'll be meeting Benny Hedges to ride down with, but i might have to wait for cheekyads to come home from school, i'll have a word with the headmaster to see if i can bring him out of school at lunch time instead of the normal 3.15

BTW I've not been to a meeting or on a trip before with VTR1000.org so what's the crack re booking, food, beer etc? do I need to book the camp site in advance to ensure getting a pitch or or is it just turn up and pay on the day? and I assume nobody will be carrying beer and food on their bikes so is it a matter of sourcing it local when we get there?

Can't wait for the ride out now, I guess it's because the bikes been off the road and in the shed all winter, it's nice to have a something to look forward to, although I'm aiming to tax it Fri 1st Apr and go for a ride over the wkend, that's if it starts!!! it's been under a sheet since Oct

I will try to get the Friday off. If I can't then I'll be heading up straight from work (15:30). I'll be happy to go with whatever you guys decide as long as it includes the M3 or M4. If you choose the M1, then I'll give that a miss
