Yes, they scour the interwebbing with it.
And if that wasn't enough they then send it to pick up Flash's body.

Taxi's and boy racers, all driving round town like it's the Nurburgring. Despite some poor sod being mown down and killed a mere two weeks ago.

More specifically, one of the raised threaded parts on the front engine mount adjuster bolt.
:eek2 I have a horrible feeling your talking about the bit that is fixed into the frame IIRC. Is it the two raised half moon shaped bits that the castle nut threads onto. If so I don't think that can be removed from the frame. Not sure what the answer to that is. I would have thought it would have to be drilled/cut out and then you would have to have a new one custom made. :problem:

(:-})
That's the one. In diagrams I've looked at it's an adjuster bolt and should be available as a separate part. It's threaded right through the frame so should be removeable too, but there's a collar on the inside, so it would have to go inwards. Massive pain though, I just wanted to fit my crash protectors, but that side at least won't be going on for a while now.

On the plus side the lock nut still threads onto the full part of the thread no problem, and I fitted some manual CCT's today so that's that issue sorted.

EDIT: guy on the super hawk forum... "I just pulled my frame off my motor to swap frames, and need to switch some mounting adjusters/castle nuts that weren't on the other frame."

So I guess they are removeable, but it's an engine out job. Now where's the smiley doing a massive sigh...

Zack, yes you have Sussed it correctly, they are removable and you can buy them as a separate part, but the engine needs to be out to remove them.
Engine removal can be easy or a real pain depending on the corrosion on the bolt that goes through the V. It it is corroded into the engine really badly then you have all kinds of problems to get it out and you have to either cut the frame or the engine :(

Start soaking it in Wd40 every week for a year!

That's good news. For some reason I didn't think it was removable and spun around the shroud within the frame if you know what I mean.

The bolt that goes through the V, yes last time I done one I had to remove the carbs all the wiring in the area and use a blow torch and heat the rounded cast bits on the engine the bolt runs through and hit the bolt with a club hammer. The hammer screwed the end of the threaded part of the bolt. I started with a bit of wood over the end to try and protect it but as it moved inwards I had to use a drift to get the rest of it through.

Everything was looking quite nice in there when it was in bits earlier, but yes I'll start the soak haha

Need to source one of these bolts now, then wait for a rainy day and get stuck in again :)

Fly-spray is evil stuff. You should get yourself one of those bats that look like a tennis racket that electrocutes them. Much more fun chasing them down with one of them. The flies stink as they sizzle and burn on the racket.

I'm surprised you dont have a pet lizard to take care of the flies.
