The TRX got an oil and oil filter, air filter, new plugs and that's it - til the Thundercat calipers turn up (Jonesy, got much on?)

Knobby's picture of the Realm shock mentioned in his earlier post -
Nice looking item.

I like the look of that shock. looks quite sturdy at the top and bottom mounts, and it has a Black spring which is a bonus. If under £300 they should sell quite a few.

Strip plug caps down and cleaned bits also trimmed back HT leads by about 10mm and polished my cans (again) and went for a quick 30miler (round the block !!) came back and ordered a new front (avon storm 2 ultra, thanks to those that recommended this)
Removed wheel bearings from spare front wheel and took to powder coaters (35 quid !)

Sat on the bike with my new 1 piece leathers, felt good, but can't get it out for all the kitchen units in there, if it was dry id be pulling my hair out for a test ride. The new flip up screen on the last trip was excellent, great advice there AP. Makes you go faster though as no wind resistance!.

Stripped the Thundercat calipers, work's garage blew the pistons out with their airline, now all clean and ready for fitting. Booked the seats in with Alistair at Selfmade, nice blue jobs with "850" in silver on the elbow pad

The TRX got some nice new braided Venhill hoses, and the Thundercat calipers got a test fit, looking good (when I got the old calipers off, they didn't want to come easily):

Started her up after being parked there for nearly 3month

. She pretty much fired straight up, ran on one pot for a few seconds then purred like a kitten

. Omg forgot just how sweet those Harris cans sound

well todays been one of those days.
a few of us were meant to be riding over to carls to do some carb tinkering and talking general bollox, but it all started to unravel fairly quickly...
jamoi was meeting me at a petrol station in the east end, he rang to say he was running late, no biggie.
but after waiting for some time at said petrol station, I look round and see Jamie pushing hi bike across the road....
his bike had conked out half a mile away and he'd been pushing it for 15mins....
after a quick check we decided his starter motor had died.
so he pushed it back to mine and we put one of my spare starters on and it fired up first time, I rang carl and said it would be better if he came to mine.
next on the lets fix jamies bike list, was a air leak on the rear header, so whole exhaust off. and sealant the bejesus out of it, by this time miketw9 had arrived, after a little more tinkering and with the light fading, we decided to go for a quick ride, only for carl and Jamie to fall back and get separated from me and mike, as it was dark we all decided to head home.
it was fun seeing the guys, just a shame the day never turned out as expected.

When we got seperated in traffic, we pulled over to formulate a plan, when i went to start my bike it was dead AGAIN!!
Luckily I'd just filled up, kindly Carlos helped me push start the beast and it was farewell, followed by a non-stop ride home.
Totally ferking pi55ed off with my bike ruining yesterday... but then maybe it's my fault for not preventing whatever it is which has gone wrong?
Anyway, great to see you Marty and Carlos, thanks for all the help.
Great to meet Mike on his beautiful black/red storm too
"Get a Honda" they said, "Reliable" they said...
I don't care about reliability, you don't meet people like you guys anywhere else
