I am trying a new phone app called WAZE. It is a GPs app, but allows users to press a screen Icon when the see a police speed trap, and the gps stores the location and shares it with other users live on the web.

This should then sound an alert to your headset when you are in the same location.

Been using Waze for some time now. It's the absolute dogs baldrocks. I think it's recently been bought by Google and the techniques are being introduced into Google maps. They may screw it up but for the time being I wouldn't use anything else.

TBH I've not gone past a mobile van with Waze running but it always tells me about the static cameras. No help I'm afraid.

I mainly use it in the car; I don't do a lot of mileage and virtually all of that is within a 50 mile radius of home. I can't even remember the last time I saw a mobile van. I know the position of all the fixed cameras but there's not even many of those.

What a b8stard place to live, eh? No fun at all....

OK, we are getting closer, excitement is building in Fabios sack

Macdee, is now out [as suspected given the growing list of injuries at home] and Cheekykev has lost his family [he knows where they are, but they cant come this weekend ] but he is still trying to get his wrist to work [old fiddler injury?] but might still come.

everyone else is still good to go.......... yah.

the planning of routes is changing as below.

The ride up from settle to campsite is changed as per Ziggys suggestion

I will swap day 1 and day 2 itinery as it will allow all those who can only do Saturday a new set of roads, and on Sunday we will be going in the correct direction to drop the Irish team at the ferry.

I will do this on Saturday, 210 miles covering the logging road upto the Buddhist temple, onwards past St Marys loch, then back into Moffat for petrol and food, then north again up the Devils beeftub, and back down via Dalveen pass. after that I might take you past my family farm and on the 3 roads I grew up riding every day
