unless he wins it lol
but then again he is bigger than me
I keep thinking about it, but with out the original race air box and ram scoops I don't think it's to good of a deal. I'm not going to go over 1k
Sure the frame is good but it's not a full new one just a welded plate and some brace, sure we could get a skilled man to make a replica, ahem any news on your fab tony?

you guys need to give this some serious thought, as an owner of the only road going storm/spondon frame i know what the end result would be like for a road bike. would i do it again......mmmmmmmm......probably not, i love the fact that its rare :D but does it make a dynamic difference to a road bike, no, not a noticable one.
i did it because a package of parts came up at the right price and i needed a new frame, so it made sense(just about)
this bike for sale, obviously its a track bike, would it be possible to put it back on the road? would it be a Q PLATE?
i can understand yeti wanting it for spare parts, but the bikes been stripped down so much that there aren't many of those left (tank/frame/clocks/rearsets but not much else) shame it didn't have the swingarm, because then it would have been worth it.
theres enough nice bits to strip down and sell on tho, high levels/lowers/race fairings/ohlins and then you could always sell the engine if its still in usable condition.
i wouldn't want to pay over a grand for it myself, but then i'm not the one wanting to buy it
such a shame it doesn't have more of the original race bike on it tho :(
good luck to whoever buys it, you wouldn't stand a chance of returning it back to its honda britain racing spec tho.....
other thans spares i suppose you could make a trick road bike as long as it wasn't a Q-plate

You just change the chassis number on your v5 I believe as the frame has never been registered . But I may be wrong :-(

Gentlemen or are we playing poker now  :Beer Popcorn:

I would like the Tank off it. I want to mock up some ram air one day out of fibreglass.

So does that mean that the number on the Spondon frame is not on the V5. I think Marty may be right about the Q plate if it gets registered.

I think it may have had at some point when they got hold of it before modding as its not a fully custom frame, just a modified standard frame for the race teams

they may have removed it's VIN plate but it will have had one to start with

its a tricky one, because my frame came with a v5, i thought like lloydie that you could apply for one because its never been on the road, but as seb said maybe they came with a v5 originally, i wouldn't even know where to start, it might be worth contacting the dvla for there opinion....

If it was once registered I will have to be a q plate If you can't get the reg .
If it hasn't been then you could get a age related plate but this is harder as you will need prof from Honda as to when it was made .
And the frame will need to be made into a road bike and need an mot .
If you know a friendly copper they could run the frame number for you ,
If it has been registered before they could tell you the reg number and then just fill in a v62 to get the v5 .

you can see on the pictures that it has a vin plate, so fingers crossed it can be put back on the road, good luck finding a friendly copper tho

Just looking at the pics again and you can see the rear sets have been crash damaged and have the nastiest looking welds holding it back together :(
