this winter my bike will be stripped again, and this time the frame/subframe/wheels will all be getting p/c to match the swingarm thats already done.
i will also do all the engine covers while i'm at it...

i chose paint because powdercoating looks too thick to me. it does have a nice lustre to it but you lose some definition of some crisp lines.

next on the list of stuff to do is making my own anodising tank and anodising the standard rearsets, hangars, pegs and yoke black. i will also be rebuilding the forks with hyperpro springs and giving them the upgrades as per the knowledgebase link and anodising the lower forks black or gold.

Fitted new titanium stubby exhaust, painted the forks black, fitted new powdercoated subframe and trial fitted new rear tail...

Turns out if I want the tail to fit well I'm going to need a custom subframe...anybody want that's been powdercoated black?

Does anyone actually like their storm as it was designed?? I mean the odd db screen or loud pipe is fine, but..............

Nope, then again I don't think I could have anything (bike or car) and leave it standard lol

IMHO the Storm fairings make it look old and bulbous...Honda should deffo make a new one tho!!!

Snoogle that's looking nice. I love the colour of the paintwork and those wheels. You need an undertray on there! Double circular brake lights would look nice in that tail!

I'm with Snoogle on that one. I can not help modding things and tinkering with the engine to my liking. Mods are a very personal thing and make a bike unique. Some of us just take it more extreme than others.

Yeh I was only jesting.

My bike today, I fitted the t-piece and vacuum hose to rear cylinder. Got the ends of both vacuum hoses sitting nicely under my seat by the battery. Put my Carbtune on and synced the carbs. They were only slightly out, no biggy really. Went for a spin, it hadn't made much difference, still spits a bit through the carbs. I have defo got to get a Dynojet and do something with the Microns. Either do some kind of bafflectomy on them or change them altogether. Would aftermarket SP1 slipons work with the firestorm? Mmmm  Would widen the scope looking for 2nd hand ones.

any aftermarket cans should work as long as the inlet diameter is the same, i can't remember if it is 51mm or not.
thats one of the thing that bugs me about twin cans, i love the look but its double the cost when you wan't to change :(
the carb balance thing is something i should do really

not great pics, too close to the car to get decent shot, but according to paperwork has uprated spring in forks, dynojet kit fitted and k&n filter but high mileage at 56k km and needs manual cct's fitted but got them in garage for other bike so will get them on this for now.....happy enough for price I paid and happily sat at illegal speeds all way home from London

edit :- better pics added

edit:- also got a nice set of microns to fit to it too when I can eventually get into the rented garage where other bike is, suspect some scrote has been wombles around with the lock and now cant get in
