2 Hours to bleed a clutch...You sure CK...
it was my mistake, as I shouldn't have drained the fluid out first, I should have chased the fresh fluid thru, hence keeping the system pressured....doh
live and learn.
and ck is correct, considering how bad I was when I started......
although I think the word ck was looking for was ....better........

Nice job with the sliver dream machine Marty

Getting back to bleeding brakes/clutch, I did try to help you get back onto the straight and narrow

Not wishing to sound like I'm trying to tell you how to suck eggs Marty :) but providing you had fluid in the brakes to start with, to change the fluid you shouldn't need to bleed the brakes, just pump the old fluid out through the bleed nipple on one of the calipers, unless of course you let the reservoir level drop too low and let air in

Beat my front subframe back in to shape. I had a 'coming together' with a caravan the other day, but everything seems to be pointing in the right direction again.

Well it was mostly just grabbing it and pulling it back into shape, plus some taps from a rubber mallet and using pliers over some rubber sheet to straighten out the bent metal. It sounds more barbaric than it was and it doesn't actually look bad.

And what about the bike?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

finished painting the undertray, fitted a new numberplate, always nerve wracking when trying to figure out the best place to drill the holes.. :eek2
then fitted the new rear indi's to the undertray, and finally fitted a rear reflector, mainly for the mot man.....
I still need to fit the lock and then fit it to the bike, not looking forward to that bit, as i'll need 4 hands.

Haha I was a little confused, I said in my first post a caravan! Tony the rest of the bike is fine, minor scuffs to the front, a very small mark on the engine case protector (what it's there for) and that's it. Not bad considering it went down, but I wasn't really moving at that point and it was more of a slow drop.
I guess caravans are pretty flexible.

Took this yesterday, this was the side it dropped on. The frame protector didn't even touch the floor, it was just on the tyres and the engine case.

any marks on the c/f engine case, just lightly rub done and then build back up with many coats of clear lacquer, done correctly you'll hardly notice any damage, or just buy another case and sell the damaged one to lloydie....
