Sort of, I followed my nose (it's big enough) then thought I'd better ring them when I got to the house at the end of the drive as I half expected some irate horsey type to come out and tell me to feck off!

What did I do to my bike today... well I walked passed the one in my hallway... and walked around the one in my kitchen to get to the fridge... that's about as good as it gets now days what with being skint. That said... I do start them up now and then just to scare the dog and annoy the neighbours

could you not sell 1 of them to allow you to have some cash to ride the other!! that must be doing your head in not being able to ride any of them.it certainly would me.

Washed,dried,waxed the bird .
Started to sort out what I'm taking to Devon and while moving an empty pannier box I put my back out !.
I've trapped my sciatic nerve again.
The pain went straight down to my left knee and I couldn't move .
I some who put the bike away and locked the garage .
Grabbed the man dog and went for a ten mile walk to try and free the nerve off .
I've just got home and popped some anti inflammatories .
It feels better and I'm mobile and I ain't letting it stop me from going to Devon .

Keeping it moving helps a lot, I've found riding a bike helps as your moving about a bit, Not so much if on motorway but on A roads. If you can get a quick physio session with someone before coming down it'll help the blood circulate which will help the anti inflammatories work and do their job, you can also massage your back yourself which can help a bit.
I'm no authority on this, my neighbour is a sports physio and this is what he's told me when I've gone to him with similar issues, what he did and said worked.

I suffer with it regularly sadly .
As long as I keep on the go it'll be ok .
The first time I had it ,I was told to rest and take it easy, after suffering with it for 18 months I went to my nephew who's a PT as he said he could make it go in a few days .
He did and it went away , there's no way I'm letting it get that bad again .
We'll be taking A&B roads to Devon anyway , it'll just be when we stop I might need a hand getting off the bike or getting out of bed in the morning :-)

Managed to finish work early today as I was working on site. Should be an 8hr day. I finished in 2

So I decided to get the big bike out and go for a spin before Devon as I've fitted a spacer on top of the shock so wanted to see what it was like. I have to admit I quite like it. Really quickens up turn in speed and it seems to have stopped the bike pulling itself into corners. It now feels smoother. I have also manage to get my knee down so I know for sure now that the crash hasn't scared me any. I have how ever calmed down on the road but still very able to have run.

Wearing my new lid today too. Is a little tight and when I take it off I have a red mark across my forehead but hopefully it will bed in soon and all will be good. My only worry is the padding there isn't very think so it could be the foam in the helmet but we'll have to see.

Very happy overall today with myself and the bike and the helmet  Image

I could mate but to be honest I would rather go with out for now in order to keep both bikes because i'm hoping to have the pair on the road next year... one as a daily and one as my baby... plus if I did sell.. besides the fact that the 2 complete bikes I have were both very good deals when I bought them and i'd be hard pressed to get the same bargains again.. if i did sell one i'd use the money to pay bills.

As for doing my head in... yes! very much

I may not be as bigger animal on this as I am the mille but I can still shift. Besides now you stand a chance keeping up

Believe me I'd rather bri g the mille but as she is now in full track mode and still missing a few vital bits I have to bring the big boring bus.

Did a bit of organising in the mini man cave today... not because I particularly wanted to play with bikes but had to make a start at getting all my bike bits in one place rather than having stuff dotted around the house, shed and out house.
