Fitted a Powerbronze hugger.

I'm not fully convinced. The shock and the back of the engine will be better protected but the chain looks more exposed. It's a bit close to the LH edge of the tyre but that doesn't seem critical. Plenty of clearance elsewhere. Didn't use the crap fastenings that came with it though (and didn't stick the sticker on!)

That fits over the chain better than the pyramid one I got. It seems to leave the back of the chain exposed as it seems to come out at the back.

The one on my storm was exactly the same, bloody annoying and it looked shite, i moved mine inside and bolted through from the inside. I never did like it though.

I tried that but that put the top left of the hugger too close to the tyre and it also had a visible "twist" to it

Stripped the fairing off The Custard Crumble & gave it a darn good clean, bit o tidying up here & there tucked it away for the night. Much cleaner than it was...

Don't worry I know it does, I got it cheaper than the £90 they usually sell for (now I know why) I'll sort out a fix for it as there is a bit of snagging to do all over when I have everything fitted.

So Kermit you shouldn't feel so bad about your hugger lol

Have you tried instalation of original chain guard over pyramid hugger? It is designed for it. I rode mine like that, and aligment was not that bad.

I didn't get one with the bike, I will soften the rear mount point on the hugger and put a bend in it. That should push it further over the chain, I really don't want to mount it behind the fixing as that would look worse.

My hugger is the same, got it better lined up at the back by fitting a home made bracket
at the back chainguard (original mounting hole)
It does twist the hugger then though
