It's so liberating to break free from the building trade (plumbing & heating), I'm currently working on motorcycles for a living, awesome!
Everyone deserves to have a job they enjoy (or at least don't despise)

Put all the fairings back on the zxr, flatted a few runs in the clearcoat then cut with g3 and the 3" mop.
Fresh petrol on the tank and if it stays dry tomorrow I'll take her for a shakedown ride.

Very nice job, lacquer has come up great. Is it all paint or is there stickers as well?

Cheers dude, it's a small company local to me specialising in preparing race bikes & quads. I'm helping on the mechanical side of things, absolutely loving it! I probably owe most of my knowledge to this forum and tinkering in my garage... that's not good is it!

It's all paint with the exception of the large Kawasaki sticker, zxr750 sticker and the small stickers on the bottom of the bellypan.
Thanks for the replies fellas, there's been 3 months hard graft put into this project, turned it from an unloved unused non runner into a fully overhauled trackday weapon.

When I got back from my Sunday ride, I went in the house and rousted my wife out to come and snap a picture of the two of us together, my Super Hawk/Fire Storm and me. She muttered something about “mistress” and jealous.” The bike ran superbly and was so much fun. Look at that happy smile on my face. As my grandfather would say "I was grinnin' like a possum eatin' a sweet-tatter."

Cheers lloydie, circulated the oil today with battery, now on trickle charge, coolant filled through rad and pipes squeezed to get rid of some trapped air in system, will run with rad cap off to expel more. What's NRT? (Near running temp?)

Replaced my starter motor today. Will take starter motor apart tomorrow to see how badly damaged the bearing is. Also swapped the front 3 spoke wheel for a 6 spoke.

Fitted a Factory Pro jet kit, what a massive difference it has made to the ridability of the bike. It's like a different machine
