Yep as you used Royal Mail .
They always get there as they left

Pulled the Fox tc shock on the Vtr.
I'd fitted a 1000lb/in spring last year as well as changing the oil in it for the recommended 5w, it felt softer and more wallowy all year.
Changed the oil for 7.5w, added 5mm more preload and charged to 300psi with nitrogen.
When fitting I realised I'd had the triangular shock linkage on the wrong way round all year, feck.
Fitted the correct way around and it's loads better.
Checked the sag and it's spot on, both static and with my lardy butt on board.
Needs a bloody good wash, never cleaned it after the ring of red ride on remembrance day.

Nice. I to run a 1000lb spring. Sags etc are perfect. But the valving in the Ohlins is well off. Guess they are designed for US roads with no bumps.templ8 wrote:Pulled the Fox tc shock on the Vtr.

Trying to get up the courage to crack it open.

Hmmm.
I seem to have bought my bike a Valentine's day present.

And on sunday my much-loved wife is having the pleasure of my company at the Excel bike show- I really do treat her like a queen, I really do......

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

If you can find a rebuild manual or guide it's fairly straightforward but messy.NZSpokes wrote:Nice. I to run a 1000lb spring. Sags etc are perfect. But the valving in the Ohlins is well off. Guess they are designed for US roads with no bumps.templ8 wrote:Pulled the Fox tc shock on the Vtr.

Quickshift?
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted my new mosfet RegRec and found one of the 3 yellow wires terminals had been getting a bit hot, so I cut it off and fitted a new connector to it. Now getting a nice 14.8V at all revs dropping to 14.2V with lights and heated grips on.
Then fitted the Coerce sprocket guard.
Then sat on it and made brum brum noises

Yes, upwards only but that's all I need.Stephan wrote:Quickshift?
As the SP2 already has a pcv it's just a plug-in, and at less than £250 to my door I couldn't resist

Fitted new OEM bolts and footpeg rubbers. Chinese levers on.
That's just about all I want to do now, except take it for a ride. Looked outside, cold wet, just spitting. Nah.....
I don't mind the rain but the thought of going for a short ride and then spending more time cleaning the damn thing than riding it is off-putting.

Have you Al and Lloydie wired your MOSFET R/R's direct to the batterylloydie wrote: Your getting the same output as mine with a mosfet [THUMBS UP SIGN]

No , just wired it in as it was .
Maybe your genny is on its way out .
Might be worth testing it.
I did remove and the 3yellow plug connector and soldered the wires directly together as they were cooked dark brown and got very hot .

Cheers Lloydie and Al for getting back on that
Mine isn't enough to worry about I don't think at 14.4 volts, I was just interested in if you had wired your MOSFET rectifier's direct.
I bought mine from Jason in the States which came with new wire connectors and connector plugs. IIRC he recommends connecting the live (+) wire direct to the battery, seeing as the wiring looms are getting on a bit now.
Lloydie I'll keep my eye on the volt meter which I fitted, if the volts start altering I'll test the alternator as you suggest
