Yeah sorry, I just re-read that and it was confusing

The originals when I bought the bike had a lilac coloured paint dot and the new one have a peachy/orange paint dot.

Ok so I have read alot about these cct's failing and as a new storm owner it is quite worrying!!! I hear you guys going on about the manual type which sounds like the best bet but where do you get them from?
Any links would be great guys......maybe even a sticky for quick ref in the future??

Jim.

This should help. My experience with CCTS are:

1. Change the whole unit (not just the springs). I had to do it twice!

2. Get the timing marks and lobe positions spot on or you may end up out a tooth and have to strip it down again ( )

Second that, and it's really easy to get a cylinder 180 degrees out, so make sure you rotate the crank in the direction it should go for the right amount of turns before you time the second cylinder.

This'll make sense once you've read the instructions.

unlike most of the bollox I spout! :D
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
