Glad you got it sorted mate,..........i had a bit of a misshap working in the 'gloom of the garage myself' regarding a 30amp fuse

Around 4 days ago ,i was fitting a nice fully charged battery ,i got the terminals tightened up ,switched the ignition on.....nowt :?

After putting my eyes around 2 inches from the fitted battery i noticed the battery was back to front,....sh1t!!,......so straight away i thought 'main fuse'

On checking the Bandit manual ,it said the main fuse was next to the starter relay under the left sidepanel , i dont know what made me think they meant the seat cowl, but thats what i started taking off ,...then 2 of the large mushroom headed allen bolts holding the rentac rack were tight as hell ,i needed rack off so as to remove the grabrail and then the seat cowl,........but my allen key just rounded the hex ,so after a bit of swearing i had to make a cut with a hacksaw into the heads of the bolts,so i could use a large flat screwdriver to get the bolts out .

Then i realised ...wtf am i doing, the manual said remove 'SIDE-PANEL' ,.....ffs ,2 mins and i had it off,and replaced the 30amp fuse. By this time i could hardly see a thing ,and couldnt feel anything in my hands as the garage was like a fridge ,infact theres still around 5 inches of snow on the roof.

Was a bit pissed off with myself for fitting the battery back to front  ,the bike is still in bits ,i came in the house without starting it..........sh1t happens :shh:

I fitted the 'stoppers' in my standard cct's ,so that if a cct spring did break, then no damage could occur .
I then had the bike up for sale, but it developed an intermitant rattle from one of the cct's (poss weak spring),so i then replaced both cct's with 2 new standard cct's for me selling the bike.

If you follow the instructions on the forum exactly you cant go wrong ,just make sure you complete every step of them ,preferably printing them off and taking them into the garage with you :)

Many thanks Chris. All the best for the new year everyone would have been out today but there was a lot of places with ice about so I chickened out .
Ps, does anybody know where you can get parafine these days used to be so common when I was small they even had a pump for it in penzance :?:
And no I am not going to set the bike on fire :D :D

our local specialist hardware store (not a B&Q, Focus etc) but Arkwrights where they still wear brown coats used to sell loose but as there isnt as much demand the last time I saw it was in litre plastic bottles. probably as not allowed to keep in large quantities incase the local tea leaf breaks in and drinks some and sues you!!!!
