So, do you reckon it would help if I kept my eyes open in the morning? I know it would make checking the rev counter easier but then I'd have to see how many people are trying to kill me! Had braided hoses fitted last week and gave them a full on stoppie test 30 metres after I came out of the garage!
Wow. I have a 1998 vtr with the smaller tank, and I do much better than you guys on milage.
On the way to California I held a solid 75 mph and got 48 miles to the gallon. On the way back, I held 115 mph and only got 26 miles per gallon! ( I was only dumb enough to do that once. )
My "commute" to work is only 12 miles one way. I noticed last week I used 4.0-something gallons and got 158 miles out of that. = 38+ miles per gallon.
Two Brothers slip-ons, dynojet jet kit, and K&N filter. Dyno'd with a exhaust gas meter and the carbs are spot on for mixture.
You know the Austin Powers movies? I have always wanted to date someone like Allota Fagina... but I always seem to date her sister Sandy.

No disrespect intended but anything about 40mpg's then yep ya girls, never got that even commuting 80 miles of motorway to work for 3 years. You doing the Rural mpg speed in the brouchures then, doh.
Ha Ha
Well done Del. (did notice E-bloke was too chicken to put himself in the firing line )
I'm not affended I just think I'm nicley carburated

You got a sowing machine for an engine?
Your U.S gallon is smaller than our Imperial one by about 2 pints(a quart)
Back on the subject of petrol.......
Done quite a few miles this weekend but didn't get particularly good tank range, 100miles and 1 square left, but only to find I could only get 10L in!!
When chatting about it over a pint last night, my BMW biker mate suggested the poor tank range was due to 20% of the petrol coming out of the exhausts! Suppose he meant I'm running a bit 'rich', is that the right term? As he was following me most of the day (what did you expect) he kept getting blasted.
Might have to think about getting it jetted, how much would this cost for the kit and fitting ?(Del your too far away!)

Red F2, Scorpion Race Cans, Nuvo Airflow Screen, GSG Moko Crash Protectors, Carbon Hugger by Del, Scottoiler.
they run rich normally, me thinks it stops the pistons etc getting tooo hot, just keep covering em in petrol and know ya pistons/small ends will be ok. Wip out a plug and check it, only do anything if it's a sooty as sooty else leave it.
