Thanks for all the replies, serious and not :D

I've been measuring up and theres no room for a 2nd bike at all. I think I'll bring the storm back into service and figure out what to do at that point. Got a few jobs to do before it would be ready for sale anyway so it gives me time to think over it.

Because of all the mods on the storm like the SP front end and fireblade wheels, its a very sweet ride which i was lucky to find and I am terribly reluctant to get rid of it because of a comfort problem but yes, balls crushed on tank is a frequent occurrance 2 up.

I'll look into the seat mod idea though.

Thanks again.

pick up a 2nd hand seat and get it modified till it looks full king & queen style if that fixes the touring needs, and then you can put your old seat back on for all the solo work [when you want the bike to look good]

you got to keep the bike! how about a cheap tourer and a good quality bike cover and make it live outside.

how much of this 2 up touring do you think you will actually do? i have found that you do less of it than you thought you would at first.

it makes their hair go funny (apparently)
