It's like the sensation as riding over uneven road surface with a squared off rear tyre . But at muck higher speed and Grater lean angle

Is that comment tongue in cheek ?, Firestorms don't need their frames bracing for the road, and i'd say not for the track unless your running slicks with a very tuned motor and riding at a very high level.
When a tyre gets low on tread it'll always fell like that if you ride hard, there's less rubber on the carcass and it overheats alot quicker, it's spinning up a bit thats all, enjoy it and get a mate to follow you out of the corners so he can see you laying some darkies
