Believe it or not Tony, the key is still on it's way to me via the Spanish postal service, I then have to post it back to my brother!
I have shipped a few bikes over from the UK to Spain, over the years and always asked for one key to be sent with the bike and the other or others posted, that way, if something goes wrong I should at least receive one key. I made the mistake of assuming the ignition key which is with the bike, would be an all rounder - Ignition/petrol/seat. The guy transporting my bike from Lincoln to Dartford, would have happily lifted the seat and disconnected the battery for me, if he had the key for the seat! - That little mistake has cost me £200 in wasted transport costs.
Having said that, I wasn't expecting the shipping company in Dartford to refuse my bike because of the battery, they wouldn't even hold it in their warehouse! I have shipped 3 other bikes with them over the last few years and a connected battery was never an issue.
That's a shame, Dartford is only 20 mins up the road from me; I could have sorted it while it was there....
Or stored the bike safely at my house, pending key.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Should be one key for all locks Sounds like you've got some key cutting duplicates to ensure access to all areas, if the bike's parts/locks have been changed sometime in its history.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
Damn, If only I had known that Tony, funnily enough I thought about asking here if anybody was in or around the Dartford area and could maybe help me out, by storing it for a few days, mind you I was pushed for time.
I had to make a snap decision, as the guy dropping off the bike, needed to get away, I was worried in case he decided to leave it outside the warehouse and with Mr Jobsworth inside the depot not prepared to let the front wheel inside his warehouse, I could have had a big problem and the bike out on the street.
Luckily the pickup guy was heading up to Norfolk for his next bike pick up and was virtually passing my brothers house - that was the good news, the bad news being - it cost £140 to get it to Dartford and another £70 to get it back up to Norfolk!! Probably not that far from where it started from!
