admit it looks like a bit o grief but its not as bad as it seems , its purely coz id rather have the newer digi dash and seeing as how i have got the later 19ltr tank now i may as well do both , the only real hassle for me is space to do it ,i cant fart in the shed without disrupting summat let alone turn around , but bigger one is also on the plans fot winter (weather permitting) once its up you are all invited for the opening ,ill supply the beers

5 hours of that journey would be the ferry off the mainland. Talking about ferry, where do you catch the ferry from? I bet you have some good bird life up there.

erm yeah think its 4 women to every guy lol
ferry from ullapool to stornoway or uig on skye to tarbert on harris ,
i use the skye route whenever possible cos the other one normally means heading down the A9 which just bores the ass of me ,the road to skye is a great road for bikes in fact all the western roads are excellent, petrol stations can be a bit scarce now n then tho ,had a few near misses but touch wood (hand in trousers) i aint run out yet
oh ferry time is just under 3hrs 1 and a half from uig ,bores the hell outta me, you can watch for seals leaving the harbour ,dolphins and the occasional nuclear submarine ,usual boring stuff,,, there could be a full scale war going on its still not as exciting as blasting my storm down th road :biggrin

One day I would like to visit the Islands, would love to do some filming up up there in the wilds. Just got to figure a way of carrying my equipment on the storm!. It's one of those places I got on my my list of places to visit at some stage in my life. I would love to visit Iceland as well.
You know Al's possibly planning a storm trip for next year on the west coast http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... t=scotland you should try to get over for it.

I'm shocked you managed to get hold of a 19l tank. I've got a spare 16l that I'm planning on cutting and making bigger at some stage. Have a look into the temperature sender unit as I think you may have to upgrade that to a later model one to work with the later dash. I believe the SP unit can be used as well, which is what Tweety on the Hawk site used with his CBR dash.

yes it was the sp clock i thought about first but when i missed the one on herr german ebay i came across two for the later storms and the tank , both were more than happy to post and cheaper than some goods i try to get from the mainland ,you wouldnt belive some of the ridiculous charges have a look on ebay next time , anyhoo yes of course you must its the most westerly well north westerly place in europe .
I forgot about that trip ,if i can get across whenever he is near ill meet up thats not a problem as long as i know when well in advance ,would love to hook up with another storm , i can set off car alarms on my own !! two would be awesome !
