My Mrs pointed out what it meant, having been a nurse in a previous lifetime! (wouldn't trust her now with anything. Well not since she said to me "I know that's the symptoms of something, I just can't remember what"!!!!!!)

only keep the rolo biscuits for me......dont know how he found them, must have been when I was out test riding to check we had the setting right.

That wikipedia link is gross  you are going to have to change your screen name again Shaun, as every time I see you on here I will link it to that image...........you dont want to be known as Shaun with the sore Richard

it is fun doing someone elses bearings as shaun was shocked about how much violence you have to apply to precision parts..........trick is what you put between the large hammer and the precicion ground parts :D
what is a pain is the amount of bits that need to be reomved and then refitted to get the yokes out, other than that its a quick job getting the bearings swapped over.

Oh and we forgot to take any photos of the work other than where the cables are routed each side of the forks.........blame Shaun for that it was his job!

oh, and when we went for a ride after we got the bike back together we were making rapid progress down one of my favorite sections of fast sweeping bends when we came across an old boy driving a red rolling chicane..............was a fully enclosed mobility scooter with lights and numberplates driving along the road, but at 5mph!!!!!!!

after we had gone out to Banbury and back via Stratford and then heading home 60 mins later we met him again, only about 5 miles further down the road. No idea whwere he was hopeing to get to but it could have been at risk of taking the whole day to get to his desitination, and I hope he knew where he was planning to recharge it.

wish I had stopped to get a picture, its good for the Red owners to see a picture of their team leader at a top speed they can only dream of

yeah that old dude was brave or riddled with alzheimers, must have really wanted to get where he was going, 5mph?..hmm was it that fast?...when Al says rapid progress it was no more than the legal limit as i refuse to break any rules of the road :shifty: Oh and the Rolo biscuit was hidden underneath the kit kats and twix bars in the tin Mrs Al put out, I found it tho..I found it....I bust my sugar intake allowance in that weak moment of pleasure.Mmmmmm...Roooooooloooooo

indeed, no rules of the highway were broken in the making of that ride............ what I should have said was "we were making rapid progress considering there was a red one in the group" :lol

Shaun,
how are the bearings running now?
I dont think they should bed in too much as I like to make sure the races are well seated :D , but if you start to get a clunk during heavy braking you know what to do to tighten.....just takes a little movement so less is more in this case!

Yep they felt good this evening, havent been out cos of the eye infection i picked up on the way back from yours, really bad the whole eye closed over in about 2 mins while riding, so yeah a1, gonna free off the front brake this weekend cos it was a bit stiff, no heavy braking till i change the triangular front tyre :eek2 :D
