Do you think it was a poor example Clive or has time and other bikes recalibrated your expectations?

Bit of both Kev. I expected to miss the torque - but this one had been badly Dyno jetted too. ZX7's don't like Dyno jets, they run much better with Factory Pro kits. Not convinced about another 7R now - still fancy building a Café Racer...

There's a new series of "cafe racer" running on Discovery at the moment on Thursdays I think. I haven't managed to catch any of them as yet.
What would you use as a base for the build? Traditional parellel twin or V, multi?

Tough call - I was thinking CX500, but the prices have gone the same way as Guzzi's - skywards. XBRs are too common, maybe an FT500 or similar? It needs to be a spine frame, make tank choice easier...

...or I get a big multi, saw a cracker based on a CB750 - but an old GS would be a good start, spoked wheels too...

Depends what I can find uber cheap!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
