Cracking pictures Neil, what camera is that? What sort of zoom lens do you have on it?

what camera were you using
never got to race at Caldwell
was only there as a mechanic
Mine were all from the Drift Ghost. The stills are just stills taken from the video.

And if you never raced Cadwell, there's still time, get yourself booked on an evening session :D

It's an old Minolta Dimage A1 with 28-200 lens built in so it's not too big to carry around. I wanted to bring my son who has all the gear but he is working at Waddington Air show taking pictures this weekend. Maybe next time he can come along and get some better pictures.

Flatty did mention something about a Op Storm - Donnington which sounded good.

Yeah I was running sport smart tyres, why can they run lower than usual then?

What is usual pressure?

Sorry missed this post the other day.
I believe It's to do with the side wall design , Dunlop call it N-tec.

As a side note, reading PB this month they tested all the sporty tyres on track(on road last month), Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa comes out top by a good margin. I've used these on track and they are a top tyre. The Sportsmart was 2nd overall I think, 2nd on track but not as good on the road.
Not got the mag in front of me but they ran all tyres on track at the manufacturers recommended track pressures, on road they ran all tyres tested with 36psi front and rear.

Interesting to hear about the different tyre pressures etc (track V road use). I find for road use the front to feel better at 34psi rather than the recommended 36psi (tyres Avon Storm). Then again how accurate are these fairly cheap tyre pressure gauges :?:

Who knows, what I normally do is just add 2psi onto the recommended anyway as it feels nicer handling then. Horses for courses though, isn't it?

I would say (as others have commented on as well) that Firestorms are quite susceptible to tyre pressures. So if your bike feels better to ride at that pressure then that's what counts,

Only just found out that there was a photographer there this night. Same one that was there on Sunday. Pictures from Sunday will be up on Wednesday, but I found these from the 1st day we did. Pictures of me, my bro on the silver ninja, and Flatty on the storm.

The construction maintains sidewall profiles when "under inflated" and so feel good. But you have to get them and keep them hot at those pressures. Feels good and planted when you do, though.
I love 'em....
