LOL you will be pushing if you are somewhere in the Highlands on a Sunday afternoon where the fuel stops could be 30 miles apart, & if they are even open.

Well that's Scotland out the window then it's bad enough pushing it up a small step into the garage let alone pushing around a mountain side :lol:

All this fuelling talk makes me think we need another dyno day anyone up for it I know I could do with checking my fuelling and wouldn't mind tinkering with the carbs with the baffles out

I will be back at Projex in a few weeks getting my carbs set up for the akrapovics . And if I get it finished in time the next air box mod .
But I will be paying £25 a run :-(

If someone want to set a Dyno day up I'd be up for it

If you get yourself over here, you can do as many runs you want... :wink: I think the missus will start throwing things at you if you keep going past midnight (she does that with me!) but other than that it's more limited by your own patience/persistence really... :wink:

Not as fancy write-outs, and not "calibrated", so no peak HP numbers to brag about, but for carb-setup, it's unbeatable...

However, while I'll gladly supply a cot, and unlimited amounts of coffee, and/or food, you still have to pay the gas to get here... :roll:

I wont be going on the Dyno again until my exhaust and Mori pipes are done. But TBH I don't think a dyno will help much, not unless you are way out. Fuel economy is not just down to carb set up but timing, valve clearances, wear and tear, suspension setup and tyre pressures, weather conditions etc etc it all contributes to it. At the end of the day we all just have to accept the fact that these bikes where not built for economy and it all comes down to where and how we ride. I find short town trips are the worst for economy.

Economy doesn't bother me just want to see if it runs better with or without baffles and to know the fuelling is somewhere near where it should be

As I write this its sat in the garage with 128 on the clock and the lights not on , it comes on around 130 125 last time I got caught out had to do 15 miles after the light to fill up

Hi m8teys .. on a recent long run with a southerly tail wind with a
light wrist I managed about 9 miles per litre of shell unleaded heading
North from Cornwall ... against the wind its less though I like Shell or
Murco fuel .. :thumbup:

Now there's a ride out that I am def planning.
I have the pleasure of having been to Karlskrona a few times, work wise, and you are a very luck chap having such fantastic roads. Fly into Copen and drive over.
keeping your eye's open for those "small" mobile antler wearers keeps the mind from wandering..

Talking of Gas guzzlers, why is there so many massive american cars over there. Some of them a sooo lovely.

"Small" would indicate roe deer then... They are kind of small and cute... Like's to pop out of the bushes just as you approach... I have scrapped one bike from a little mishap involving one of them, split the deer in half and knocked me half unconscious, but I kept the bike upright... I rode the bike home with bent fork, since I was alone, and nobody came along...

Larger deer are less stupid... Elk's however aren't small, nor are they at all cute, and while not as dumb as roe, much more aggressive... They are more likely to put their head down and charge than move out of the way... Scary enough in a car, let alone on a bike... I had a friend that had his bike totaled by insurance, AFTER having come to a complete stop in front of one, since the elk decided it didn't like him...

Well... Dunno really... My 'merican cars aren't that big... They tend to drink like a sponge though... :wink:
