no worries buddy, they ain't going anywhere, may i suggest you get some crash bungs for miss piggy, some say they can cause more damage on track, but they did save my mates bike from damage when he had a 50mph low side at silverstone a few years ago....

i make you right dude....
it would be interesting to get a stripped back race vtr weighed, small battery, no indis, no mirrors, i'd even lose the headlight if i was you mate, cut down front mudguard, maybe you could keep a look out for a race seat unit, they do pop up from time to time, slower110 was selling a full set of race fairings.

It's having no lights at all only what is needed will be fitted . When it's time I will look into a smaller lighter rear sub frame .
I also want a cable clutch :-)
I wonder how much yetis stg2 and gilsons stg3 weighs

What would the advantage of a cable clutch be over a hydraulic clutch?
I ask cause I don't know what the difference would be in honesty, I know hydraulics can get air in them and reduce their effectiveness and require bleeding and that cables can just wear out... But that's about it :confused

I think the grabby clutch is because of the hydraulics .
A hydraulic clutch was fitted to make it a softer road bike but for the track a cable is better as it has better feel

I bet there is very little between the two. The biggest weight difference I think would be lightened con rods and crankshaft. And if you weighed them next to a Standard VTR I reckon you might be shocked. Probably no more different than if you lost weight around the waist.

To an everyday rider/occasional track day racer it's not going to make that much difference. But when you have pro's like in Moto GP that are racing at top level and they are all as good as one another to a certain degree, every little helps. Even Diet and fitness.

Rear wheel spindle in stock.

Almost complete right hand fairing missing ear where then mirror was.

Both can be added to the pile of bits that were the clocks...
